Is this show for me?
Almost certainly yes.
Quilters of every age, background and ability enter this show. Here are the worries we hear most, answered honestly.
- I've never entered a show before.
- Perfect — many entrants haven't either. Every step is explained as you go, and you can save and come back.
- My quilt isn't fancy.
- There is no house style. Scrappy, wonky, traditional, modern, art, mixed-media and improv are all equally at home.
- I only have a phone camera.
- That's genuinely all you need. Daylight, a plain wall, and a steady hand beat expensive gear.
- I don't know what a "room brief" is.
- It's just a short note from a designer about the room: the colours, the size, and the feeling they're after.
- I quilt by hand / on a domestic / on a longarm.
- All three are welcome and judged the same way. How you quilt is your choice, not a ranking.
- English isn't my first language.
- Write your entry in plain words. We never score spelling or writing — only the quilt.
Looking is always free — browsing the show floor, voting for People's Choice, saving quilts and the Design List cost nothing. Only entering a quilt has a fee ($35), and it's refundable until judging begins. See how the show works.

A quilt is furniture. Design it like one.
Three interior designers hand over three real rooms. You make one quilt for one of them — scaled, coloured, and finished for that space. The panel never learns your name.

The Design Room Quilt Show is produced by TheQuiltHub.com and run by Brandon Wulff, who reads every entry question himself. This is the founding edition — there is no archive of past shows to point at yet, so here is what we can promise instead: the Best in Show purse is funded before entries open, the rubric is published in full before you pay, every entrant gets their score card, and a real person answers the desk.
Your PayPal email is collected only to pay you if you win, and your address only to ship a physical prize. Neither is shown to judges, sponsors or the public.
